67 Grove Street, Sandwich, MA

Join President Marisa Kelly and Chair Dorothy Savarese for Suffolk's annual Cape Cod gathering in a truly special setting.

Heritage Museums & Gardens is a breathtaking 100-acre estate where art, history, and nature come together. After brunch, explore the grounds at your leisure from a nationally significant rhododendron collection and over 1,000 varieties of daylilies to a world-class collecction of American automobiles, folk art, and a working 1919 carousel.

Thanks to the generosity of our host, this event is compimentary. Space is limited, pleae register only if you are certain you can attend.

Join an award-winning author, director, producer, and independent filmmaker Zachary James Miller, who will discuss the acclaimed author Richard Wright. This will be a historical look at Wright's life and time in Paris, his legacy, along with his work, both literary and political, and the times he lived in. Miller will be in conversation with Barbara Abrams, PhD, professor and chair, History, Language, Global Culture Department, and Philosophy Department, Suffolk University.

Zachary Miller's works include two on the great Black American author, Richard Wright. One is a biographical book called “Richard Wright: Black Power” available soon on preorder to be published on Amazon and other outlets on August 31, 2025, and the other is the documentary feature film, “Richard Wright: Voice of Rebellion” to be wrapped in October 2025 and soon after to begin its run on the international film festival circuit. These are both aimed at a younger audience to help them understand and learn more about the importance and legacy of Richard Wright, his novels, nonfiction books, and his political activism, which incurred the wrath of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI and the CIA. Miller’s new political nonfiction book, “1000 Days Into Fascism: Trump, Musk, and Project 2025” will be published on September 11, 2025.

All students interested in participating in a Poster Presentation, Oral Presentation, or Creative Scholarship Presentation at the New England McNair Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship Conference (NE-MURCS) will be required to submit an abstract.

Abstract submissions must be submitted no later than Friday, October 10, 2026. The abstract submission form and instructions will be found here on our website. Students who do not submit an abstract by the deadline will not be scheduled to present.

If you are a McNair Program Director or staff member who needs assistance or is unable to submit payment at this time but wants to ensure registration, please contact us at info@newenglandmurcs.org for support.

The Fair provides students with opportunities to engage directly with representatives to learn more about admissions, funding opportunities, research expectations, student support services, and pathways to advanced study, while building meaningful connections and exploring next steps in their academic and professional journeys.

All registered student researchers attending the conference are eligible to attend the Fair. Suffolk University students who are not registered conference participants will also be invited to attend.

Please note: This registration page is intended for Graduate & Opportunity Fair exhibitors only and covers participation in the Fair on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
