The Center for Community Engagement organizes long and short-term service opportunities for members of the Suffolk University community. Our goal is to engage students, faculty, staff, and alumni in meaningful service designed to strengthen communities and improve the quality of life for individuals. We partner with many organizations in Boston, including St. Francis House.

Our volunteers will be clothing volunteers, who sort and organize donations in either the 2nd floor Clothing Room or Basement. Clothing volunteers may also support staff in our Clothing Department by interacting with guests who are requesting clothing, jackets, shoes, etc. Our Clothing Department loves volunteers who know how to balance taking initiative and closely following directions. They also look for volunteers with strong communication skills, flexibility and patience. Volunteers may be expected to lift up to 50 lbs.
